Do You Have Something For Students?

Absolutely! If you’re a Jr. High or High School student, Heartland is the place to be!

Redline Sunday is a special service just for our 6th-12th grade students that meets Sundays during the 10am service in Room 202 (located directly upstairs).  Your students will experience worship, teaching, and fellowship that meets them where they are, in an environment where they can be themselves.

Your 6th-12th graders are also invited to experience Redline Wednesday at 7:00 pm in Room 202.  It is an intense time of worship, fellowship, and a message that challenges students in their spiritual journey.

What Do We Believe?

God

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory. (John 3:16; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-6)

Bible

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Repentance

The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. (John 14:6)

The Rapture

In the blessed hope – the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming (Titus 2:13).

Eternity

In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (Revelation 20:11-15)

Healing

The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer. (1 Peter 2:24)

Baptism

In water baptism by immersion. (Matthew 28:19)

Holy Spirit

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (Titus 3:5)

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.

Holiness

In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Galatians 5:16-25)

What Is Our Purpose?

We believe that God’s purpose for the church is clearly expressed in Colossians 1:28 which states:

We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.

There are four distinct directives contained within this verse that we identify with the simple acronym A.C.T.S.

Acquire – The Lost

The Great Commission commands us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.  At Heartland we preach the Gospel proclaiming Jesus as Lord!  Heartland is a great place to invite your friends and family that need to experience God’s power and find true life.

Connect – The Family

Real life change happens in the context of relationships. Primarily as you come into a right relationship with Jesus, and continues as you come into healthy relationships with the body of Christ.  Heartland’s Connection Groups provide the perfect place to belong to a group of friends with a goal of growing and maturing spiritually. Our groups meet throughout the week and there is sure to be one that will fit you just right.  So, take a few minutes andfind a small group that’s just right for you.

Train – The Faithful

Each one of us is on our own spiritual journey are seeking answers to life’s greatest questions.  Part of the purpose of the church is to teach and train up the body – to come alongside as you discover the answers and find your own purpose in God’s will.  Heartland offers a growth track called theJOURNEY that will help you do just that.

Serve – The People

Ultimately the purpose of the church is to equip you for the work of the ministry. Heartland believes that we are most effective when we find our unique purpose and ministry within the local church. If you are interested in leadership within Heartland it all begins with theJourney.

Founding Pastor

stevejeri-lgIt was March 2002, Vienna, Austria. Evangelist Steve Hill was preparing to preach at a crusade when the Lord suddenly spoke. “My sheep need a fold.” Steve knew what the Lord was saying. This confirmed what had been burning in his heart for months. It was time to raise up a church in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where people would not only be saved, but also pastored, discipled, and trained, not to simply warm a church pew, but to shake this world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
With this vision and directive, Heartland Family Church was launched, and on Sunday, September 14, 2003, we officially began holding church services in a local high school auditorium. In 2005, Heartland purchased a beautiful 40,000 square foot building in Las Colinas, which is now home to this amazing family of believers, where the pastors and numerous lay leaders oversee a wide range of ministries, enabling them to effectively minister to the diverse needs of the congregation.

In March of 2014, after a brutal batter with cancer, Heartland’s founding Pastor Steve Hill went home to be with the Lord. He longed to see a church in the DFW area that had a passion for Jesus and driving desire to see people transformed by the power of the pure Gospel. This continues to be our solid foundation and the vision of this house remains strong.
People are amazed at what God is doing at Heartland . Lives are being saved, healed, delivered and set ablaze for Jesus. Whole families are coming to the Lord. Marriages restored. Men who’ve been spiritually complacent are now on fire for God. Children are being powerfully touched. Teenagers are having encounters with God. Believers are growing in God and discovering that they, too, can win people to Christ and be used of God. Their excitement is contagious! Heartland is a church for your whole family. And so much more. We believe that the greatest days in church history are on the horizon. And the people of Heartland are preparing for those days!
